Honestly today was pretty rough. I had a falling out with a friend at school today but i'm hopeful that with time we'll start talking again. In other news, I took my little puppy on a walk and she ended up getting burs stuck in her fur!!! Little scamp. Love her.

Happy news, i'll be going back to France this febuary and stay with my cousin Neela. She was here last fall and we celebrated her first halloween together! Apparently france just.. doesn't dress up, which is crazy to me. Wdym you don't spend hours on a shitty costume you wear once to go and knock on your neighbors doors.??

I've been there once before and i'm so excited to go back. She's going to take me to my first convention.. eek! I don't have enough space in my luggage to bring a costume, but she'll still dress up. I've been saving some money from my job and should be able to buy some cute figures

I'm actually so stoked. I landed in Aix yesterday and she came to pick me up, the countryside is so beautiful here.. we're close to the mediterranean sea. If we have any free time outside of school she said she'll take me swimimg. Aparently the port in her town is very polluted, so we have to go to the ocean. I'm chill with that though!

Everyone here smokes much more than in the US. It's not that I mind at all, the smell of smoke is quite comforting to me.. it's just much more socially acceptable! At some restaurants theres still smoke and non smoking sections. Culture shock I guess The last time I was here I believe I was nine years old or so, so it's been awhile.

I went to school with her today and I don't know much slang from southern france. The language I know is preparatory French, the kind they teach you at school. I think i'm fairly good as i've been in an immersion school since age five, but some of these little southern accent differences man.. I thought they were asking about the time and got so embarassed when it was actually the weather. LOL. Guess i'm rusty now. I thought I was doing so good!!!! I even passed my bilingual ceritfication test prior to visiting, and did well on my AP... Wonder if francophones get confused by southern accents in the US?

I love it so much here, though i'm almost out of money already LOLOL my pockets are bleeding. It's worth it though to be able to see my friend. I don't want to go back to america icl.. Mostly because i'll be going to a new school this year.

There's nothing "wrong" with my current district, but the students are just so aburdly nasty.

I know i'll probably meet new people and i'll be able to focus on my studies more but i'd rather not think about all of that right now. I'm going to try and ignore my worries and focus on how much fun i'm having right now with Neela. I love you auuuuhggg
